The sadist in me.

I read this an had to surpress a chuckle (which I think says something about me). Maybe it’s that I look upon birds the way a cat does. I’m not sure - it’s either that or the fact I have found my car bombarded by rather disgusting, large bird crap on occasion or maybe I let my opinion of pigeons color my view of this particular fauna.

Klem, a professor at Mulhenberg college in Allentown, Pa., first learned about the “window hit” problem 30 years ago from a teacher.

Klem responded by marching into a forest and hanging a bunch of windows from the branches of the trees. Then he sat down and watched what he calls an “appalling” number of collisions. Some birds lived. Many did not.

There was this image bought to mind of many Monty Python moments.
